10 COMMANDMENT OF SHOOTING SAFETY

  • TREAT EVERY GUN WITH THE RESPECT DUE A LOADED GUN. It is the responsibility of all range users to know and obey all range rules
  • WATCH THAT, the muzzle Carry your gun safely; keeps safety on until ready to shoot. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Never point it at something you don’t want to shoot. Keep the muzzle pointed either Upwards or Downwards towards the ground
  • UNLOAD GUNS WHEN NOT IN USE, take down or have actions open; guns should be carried in gun cases to shooting area.
  • BE SURE, BARREL IS CLEAR OF OBSTRUCTIONS, and that you have ammunition only of the proper size for the gun you carrying.
  • BE SURE OF TARGET BEFORE YOU PULL THE TRIGER; know identifying features of game you hunt.
  • NEVER POINT A GUN AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT WANTS TO SHOOT; avoid all horseplay.
  • NEVER CLIMB A TREE OR FENCE OR JUMP A DITCH WITH A LOADED GUN; never pull a gun toward you by the muzzle.
  • NEVER SHOOT A BULLET AT A FLAT HARD SURFACE OR WATER; at target practice by surely backstop is adequate.
  • STORE GUNS AND AMMUNITION SEPARATELY, beyond reach of children. Adult supervision is required for all shooters under the age of 14years of age
  • AVOID ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES before or during shooting. ALCOHOL, DRUGS or SMOKING NOT-ALLOWED IN THE RANGE.
